Really got away with that.

How we didn't put that to bed, is beyond me.

Pros:
- Madsen excellent. Comfortably our best player tonight. Calm, smart with the ball, always positive
- Saito always dangerous, even if he did fade in the second half
- Nardi, purely for keeping concentration and making two good saves at the end

Cons:
- Dembele exceptionally wasteful when he came on, bar the through ball for Chair
- Varane very much a passenger when he came on. I don't get him. Can't shoot, weak in the tackle, only goes sideways
- Field at LB was a problem for me. Looked uncomfortable all night. Timid on the ball. Really stunted any momentum when he joined attacks.

Glad with a win, but goodness me that was like giving birth to the Eiffel Tower.

That was bad. Still had the chances to win 3-0 though. I guess we played pretty well and lost on Saturday so I won't complain too much if we played badly tonight and won. We had a few moments here and there. Not sure I fancy watching much more of Sam Field at Left back. I thought Madsen and Hayden both had solid games. Mbengue lurches from brilliance to total liability in a split second. Glad we had his pace out there though.

Overall that was a very negative take on a win.
And Field did more than well enough out of position at left back, including an excellent block of a decent shot in the second half.
