On a visit to China two years ago when I took a couple of trips on bullet trains, I was surprised to find a system pretty much like that. To enter the railway station one had to pass through barriers with a mix of machines that scanned ID documents and a manned lane for people like me to show my passport and visa. Then on the train there was a ticket collector, who in my case also did an ID check with some kind of hand-held electronic device. What really surprised me was that there were also barriers and ID checks for people leaving the station, similar to when they entered. It seemed like 1984-style surveillance, but I suppose it was very safe. | | | |

Anyone had a look on X to see the reaction when the name Anthony Williams was released? Disappointment, fury, desperation for there to be a snippet of information that could be used to tie to the wanted narrative - all there and then plain to see.
Saying this doesn’t mean I’m sympathetic to criminal immigrants, I’m not. I want the truth and I don’t want lives incorrectly ruined.
This thread had some posters wanting information on those arrested straight away. What would have happened to the life of the man released if his name had been shared?
Also comments that the man who drove into the crowd in Liverpool had his name and ethnicity published straight away. Of course it did. Doing that was unlikely to have churches and fish and chips shops fire bombed or riots in the streets.
