For those who decided to go in the pitch and stay there for so long, it should live long on their conscience.
York had panicked big time, taking off wingbacks to bring on defenders, taking off forwards. If they’d held out for a 0-0 no one would have argued. For what happened to play out was a cruel blow.
We were far from good but the efforts and commitment today didn’t deserve that. |  |

Didn’t see much complaining from the Dale players to be fair
It was a terrific game to watch..Thought Whatmuff and Ebanks were exceptional
Crowd onto the pitch was bound to happen.

Yes. York the better team for much of the game; Ollie producing 3 fine saves. They controlled much of the midfield which meant us having to go longer than normal from the back.
However; full credit to us for keeping at it, and what a sublime cross from Hendo for Mani D to score with what I think was our only effort on target .
We scored in the last added minute of 6, and I estimate there was probably a 3 or 4 minute delay whilst the pitch was cleared and Mani found a shirt.
They scored in 112th minute, and on DAZN replays, it is far from conclusive that it crossed the line, although the linesman on the York side was well positioned. I just think there were 3 or 4 bodies in between him and the ball, and he took a bit of a guess.
Jim now has the mother of all tasks to motivate the whole team for the playoffs.
