Maybe it went a bit under the radar because of the other heroics throughout the team but his intervention taking the ball off the toe of the Millwall player saved a certain goal. And it wasn’t as if he just “got in the way” - he anticipated and moved about 4 feet in the blink of an eye to even get there. The reactions of his team mates said it all.
He looked razor sharp and was unlucky not to score twice. Fast and robust he looks like a bargain - and all of a sudden we have three very different top class strikers at our disposal. What a season this could turn out to be!

I was absolutely gutted for him that he couldn't quite put that chance away having run half the length of the pitch and beaten the defender for pace - just the gentlest of pushes in the back put him off his balance just at the crucial moment.

I agree, an excellent contribution all round.

If he’d gone down it would probably have been a penalty and red card if VAR was in place. A good example of the ‘dark arts’ of defending.

Great run though.

Absolutely, that was the difference between 1 and 3 points that intervention. Fantastic effort

It was fantastic but it was his reaction to it that summed him up, he just told his congratulators to switch on.

A good, experienced pro, leading by example.

It really helps to have a few old heads around, I quite liked Joel Ward's approach to defending get close to the attackers or marshall them into touch.
I noticed that Lissah is not getting caught out recently holding up attacks and allowing Yeo time to get back and help out.

I'd probably play him ahead of Vipotnik, he's got a better all round game for me, he was everywhere when he came on, looks like he's got plenty of goals in him as well, big, quick and can play.

In that case our 3rd choice striker was last years top scorer in the Championship. Seems to prove my point.
