Fa Cup 1974...then again FA Cup1989,game played at Anfield to " boost the crowd"
Not quite.
It was switched because Marine's ground wasn't suitable according to the local police and rather than move the game to Spotland, Kenny Dalglish allegedly arranged for the tie to be played at Anfield as Marine's manager, Roly Howard, who sadly passed away last month, was his window cleaner!
I'm not a maestro, far from it, but I just engage my brain before posting.

That's a better story Maestro.......but I also understand that Marine had no floodlights at the time?

Lost on sudden-death penalties, Myles didnt get a touch on any of them according to the commentary...Decent effort considering the team we put out, just the league to focus on now....probably a good thing all in all. 100% focus now...

We seem to have a good habit of scoring just before half time
What’s happening? I am seeing all sorts of conflicting things coming from Flash score. One minute we won, now it seems we lost?? Edit, just seen above post

I think longterm going out is a good thing. 3 more rounds potentially of postponed league games avoided (although the Southend game on Jan 31st has been due to their progress). York,Carlisle and Boreham Wood are all out so we can't fall further behind those 3 regarding even more games in hand - and York especially we don't want them to be winning league games without us even playing.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Your last point regarding our rivals for promotion makes my consistent case for us to be able to focus exclusively on the league even more pertinent
Going out on an extended penalty shootout won't feel like a defeat and with our new pitch imminent due to the professionalism of the club in getting it sorted means all efforts can now be concentrated on one goal
We've reinforced defensively, got plenty of talent in midfield and a new addition up front would be very welcome
The run-in starts here. Heroics? If necessary, during games of football. The rest, as they say, is utter bollocks
