Mental issues or not, he stole a massive wage for ages, so he obviously wasn't that ill.

Partly due to him being photographed smirking when one of ours was sent off v Spurs I think. Boswinga, Barton, SWP fairly obvious candidates. In fact many players from that era.

| Most despised Rs players on 17:34 - Dec 15 by numptydumpty | Not sure why the op has Vinnie Jones on there. Ie hardly played any games at all for us, was a figure of hate as an opposition player but that was what he aimed to achieve, so that's just feeding into his narrative. Ie limited player but his aggression and plain dirty play, made him more of a player than he was. But yep, not here long enough.. SWP, Barton, Boswinga come to mind for me. Two mercenaries, and one just total kn*b, who felt he was doing us a favour !!! |
Jones may only have been on our books for less than a year, but his mere presence polluted the club from start to finish. And he upset me even more as one of ours than when he was elsewhere. His inclusion is horribly well-warranted.

| Most despised Rs players on 08:07 - Dec 16 with 977 views | Bluce_Ree | Joey Barton. Hated him before, during and after his time with us. He really f**ked us against City that day. There we are, heroically stemming the tide and he gets sent off for being a professional c**t. Forever immortalised us as the side that started the City era when we deserved more out of that game. Although at the time my next door neighbour was a Man Utd c*nt called Dan. So in the end I didn't mind them missing out on the title. C*nt! I hated SWP but can you hate someone for being shit? I was there for the Hateley goal celebration. C*nt. But again, can you hate someone for being shit and too old? That's like hating Karl Ready. Gavin Peacock. Nice enough guy but I hated him as a player for us. Was only ever good if we were 2-0 up. If you needed someone to fight to get us back in the game you'd be better off with a performing seal. | |
| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

Spot on with Peacock, he scored a few goals for us but just really annoyed me. This takes the thread into another direction, which is irrational dislike… This is akin to blasphemy, but Kevin Gallen when he played in midfield made my teeth itch (disclaimer: was a great striker and club legend!)

It was absolute daylight robbery but I'm not sure it's right to despise the man himself for that. Besides, he's not in the same league, or same planet, as Barton. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I haven't forgotten Rob Hulse. He had an amazing talent of just letting the ball bounce off him when it was passed to him. No mention of Benoit (balls) Assou-Ekotto yet. Didn't like playing football and it showed.

Genuinely one of the worst transfers in history that. Not just ours, the game. Sinclair went on to do a decade in the Premier League, played in Europe, started for England at a World Cup. He was an £8m player.

"hypocrite alert" I hated SWP passionately (and still do) however I'm ashamed to say one night at chelshit he scored the winner for us and as we all went mentally wobbly In the away stand, I joined in but then stopped singing that STUPID SWP song, to get home late that night and see his non celebration was I suppose typical of the expensive midget. | Most despised Rs players on 19:07 - Dec 16 with 560 views | stevec | Permission to add Steve Slade to the list? For those who were fortunate enough never to have witnessed him, a forward who averaged a goal every twelve games for us, and as paltry as that sounds, barely managed another goal anywhere else in professional football over the rest of his career. Quite how he got 70 games out of this club tells you all you need to know about that period in our history.
| Most despised Rs players on 19:24 - Dec 16 with 537 views | TK1 | Many QPR players of I've despaired of, hoped they wouldn't play, didn't like the cut of their jib...but never hated any of them. Other than Joey Barton. An absolutely despicable scumbag long before he played for QPR, and long after. Never dropped his level, really. Just a massively disturbed, psychopathic and narcissistic wrong 'un. *Before* we signed him, some highlights from Wiki: *Barton sparked a ten-man brawl in a friendly match against Doncaster Rovers on 25 July 2004 after "hacking" at an opposition player *December 2004 after an incident at their Christmas party. He stubbed out a lit cigar in youth player Jamie Tandy's eye * In May 2005, Barton broke a 35-year-old pedestrian's leg while driving his car through Liverpool city centre at 2 am.[ * In the summer of 2005, Barton was sent home from a pre-season tournament in Thailand after assaulting a 15-year-old Everton supporter[3 * Barton was fined £100,000 and suspended by City until the end of the 2006–07 when he assaulted his teammate Ousmane Dabo. Dabo said that he had been hit several times, was left unconscious and had to go to hospital after suffering injuries to his head, including a suspected detached retina. * 1 July 2008 was sentenced to a four-month suspended prison sentence plus 200 hours of community service and ordered to pay £3,000 compensation and Dabo's court * On 27 December 2007, Barton was arrested on suspicion of assault in the Church Street area of Liverpool city centre. CCTV showed Barton punching a man twenty times, causing him to lose consciousness, and attacking a teenager, breaking some of his teeth. * He served 74 days of his prison term ETC There was so much more. I remember thinking it was morally bankrupt for clubs to keep signing him... And then we signed him. And then we made him club captain, making him sound like a cross between Pirlo and Silva in club communications. And we know how well all that went. But actually, it didn't make me hate Joey Barton any more. But I did then know that Tony Fernandes was a clown and probably worthy of hatred for what he was dragging the club into. Players, they're just doing their jobs - some better than others. Owners and administrators: much more worthy of hatred, and have hated a few. Hated Wright, hated Fernandes, wasn't keen on Ali Russell, Gianni...but all that that passes too: nothing really lingers beyond contempt. | | | |

And he commented "that's where that club's headed" or similar..... I also saw him on one of those crap shows on channel 5 about bailiffs or some such where they visited his home and he acted like a thug... crap footballer also imo

As in he still got paid? Whether he was having mental health issues or wasn't mentally or physically fit to play, wouldn't stop the club paying him. Still their legal obligation to pay his wages. Unless you are saying he was faking these issues, hence stole his wages?
| Most despised Rs players on 19:59 - Dec 16 with 480 views | MrSheen | Surprising in view of the vitriol dumped on him in these pages, but we have got this far without any reference to meek, mild-mannered André Dozzell. He was treated as a sin-eater here, loaded with abuse for all the frustrations of the Beale-Critchley-Ainsworth era, then kicked out to wipe the slate for the rest of them for Marti’s reset. At least he met what you think would be the minimum requirement of turning up every week with his boots willing to play, which seemed beyond a lot of his team mates. Two years later all the steam has blown away and he’s forgotten. [Post edited 16 Dec 20:04]

He is a cheating, violent, wife beating, big headed gob shyte Scouser, and there's plenty of them around London, SW3 and SW10 in particular - without importing them from Liverpool. Its' all down to Uncle Tony, as a chairman, it was like have Trump in charge of a Premier team, all money, probably other peoples too, but brain dead with it. Barton will do time again before long - he can't help it - it's in his jeans. - he's a dick.

In the minority I know but I was pleased when he finally left. When he first joined us in 1993 he was a genuine young talent and played very well for us improving all the time. By the time Sir Les rocked up to Loftus Road with Newcastle in 1995 he was on fire, playing superbly, the best player on the pitch that day. He got his first England call up at that time but picked up an injury training with them and after that, in my opinion, never reached that high level of performance again. After relegation there was endless transfer speculation surrounding him even though his form wasn't great. In 1996 I remember a home night game against Bradford who had 36 year old Chris Waddle playing for them, the best player on the pitch by miles. There was a group of guys shouting out at Sinclair ''Look at Waddle that is how you are supposed to do it!'' I also remember negative articles in AKUTR's at that time. Dowie, Rowlands and 6 million quid was indeed a lousy deal but it was the best or only deal on the table.

There's been players who were crap and players who were bad characters and players who thought we were beneath them but Barton is the only one I'm embarrassed by every time I remember we signed him (and as was mentioned earlier, treated him like a superstar as well). Maybe we were supposed to applaud their devilish skulduggery, but one of the most embarrassing things I’ve seen from a Rangers team was Ruddock and Vinnie Jones taking turns smashing into the back of big Kevin Francis as he went up to flick on goal kicks in an atrocious game against Oxford. No interest in the ball at all. They were like a villainous ITV wrestling tag-team at Great Yarmouth town hall.
