I found the MOTD programme that showed highlights of the 1982 WBA FA Cup semifinal at Highbury on YouTube recently: the commentator said that both teams had returned tickets and we only took 20000 that day? Anyone remember? As a child at the game it seemed pretty full to me.
It was a pretty dull game: apart from the Clive Allen rebound goal neither keeper had much to do, Bob Hazell was magnificent in keeping Cyrille Regis quiet all game. |  | | |

Yep. It’s crap. Thinking of driving to East Grinstead to get the train from there but guessing anyone for miles around heading to London will do the same. The whole thing by train/rail replacement bus is about three hours or could try driving the whole way which feels the worst option of the lot. | | | |

Correct. Both clubs returned tickets and I seem to recall West Brom had a couple of thousand more fans than us. | |
