| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 15:46 - Dec 26 with 2744 views | dingdangblue | Awful penalties but why is Mcbride even passing when he's through on goal? Playing very lethargic and too slow build up. Need Rodney on 2nd half. Edit: Thank God for Hendo! [Post edited 26 Dec 15:46]

Even if Hendo has missed a few in his career you'd have him ahead of McBride who is one of the most timid finishers I've ever seen.

Forest Green and York dropping points is a bonus - Boreham Wood look very good though. [Post edited 26 Dec 17:04]

| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 17:05 - Dec 26 with 2070 views | 442Dale | Great win. Didn’t play that well but you’ve got to have the steel to get results in games like that and we have that. There is so much obvious confidence in each other that they can respond to adversity and still remain consistent to the overall plan knowing it will get a result. Requiring York to have a sticky patch? It’s only one game, but that creates doubt. They have it. We don’t. A word for Jake Burger - never let us down, played in various positions displaying lots of potential and today he came on at half time and was our MotM in the second half. Everything good we did went through him. There’s a real player there, hope we see him become one at Dale. | |

| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 17:22 - Dec 26 with 1910 views | EllDale | Brackley had lost five games on the trot before beating Forest Green today. Another game which saw the form guide ripped up. No easy games in this league. | | | |
| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 17:33 - Dec 26 with 1827 views | D_Alien | Very important three points today. Rivals are going to look again and think "who's going to stop Dale?" As 442 says, the resilience is there, so huge credit to the management team for that [Post edited 26 Dec 17:34]

| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 17:34 - Dec 26 with 1824 views | Yorkshire_Dale | Morecambe were no mugs and ran periods of the game....it was still a good game to watch and Dale had to withstand an onslaught for the last few minutes and added time. But we stayed together and strong.....win and results have gone our way. I think at least a draw against Pools at the Wham will still see us top for New Year (check it!) which is fantastic. Slight criticism today was the long kicking frm Broome was hardly finding a Dale player and therefore coming back at us and a better finishing team might have exploited that....but 2 super goals and riding high ce soir. Happy or what. | | | |

The thing with Burger is that he did not feature much earlier in the season but from his interviews you can tell he has not sulked, he has knuckled down and taken his opportunities when they have come. He may not be a regular starter but we will need everyone to contribute.
| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 18:02 - Dec 26 with 1626 views | SaxonDale | The sort of game where I reckon we would’ve conceded a late equaliser in previous years. Agree with what 442 said about Burger- his play has really matured this year, he’s doing the simple things well and not trying to force the play like he did at times last year. Also EEL- I think he’s been brilliant this year but he seems to have really developed in his defending in 1:1 situations. He rarely gets POTM, but for me he’s up there with anyone for POTS. Final thing is it’s so noticeable how whilst all the team is improving, it’s individual players are also developing. EEL with his 1:1s, Gilmour with his end product and virtually every player‘s weaker foot amongst other things. | | | |
| Refwatch - Morecambe v Rochdale on 18:31 - Dec 26 with 1454 views | EllDale | In some bygone seasons reaching 52 points was an achievement as it more or less guaranteed survival for another year. Reaching that tally by the turn of the year is truly remarkable. | | | |

Checked on Google It gave the assist to Hendersons goal as Broome.

Agree, Burger is developing into a gem of a player - so bright and energetic, quality on the ball. If he improves his finishing he will play at a higher level.

Was interesting to watch the front players practicing the one touch and finish on both feet in the warm up, both finishes are worthy to win any game after it seemed we may struggle for the win. All match while I appreciate the possession based football we play is clearly working the insistence to turn backwards towards our own goal even when carrying the ball forwards was naturally more of an option is confusing. Credit where its due though the lads always seem to have another gear if needed

That tactic is part of how we play, it might be frustrating at times but the players know exactly what they’re doing. There are plenty of examples this season of how it’s resulted in a goal. Note the Savage interview today. He’s taking responsibility apparently… yet still blaming players.
