A good few at today's game may have been one-offs, planning their trip from distance / staying over last night
However, we could've sold many more tickets for the home ends and it'll give those who missed out chance to do their bit... from the stands
Not sure if there will be time to implement banning orders on those who encroached - not all of them, but certainly the worst offenders such as the lad in grey i've mentioned elsewhere. The cctv should be as clear as daylight. Danger of further repercussions for the club too |  |

Main stand could add on the boxes to increase numbers, but it was 1850ish seats when built. Pearl Street 2400 and something. So no more than 4350 seats plus the Sandy which would take it up to 6200 tops.
That with the Willbutts would be almost 9900, so such mathematical events lead us to think that is has to include the hospitality boxes to take it over 10,000! | |

Boreham Wood for me. Carlisle and Southend fans have been mocking our crowds all season and saying how much more they 'deserve' to go up because of their average attendance and how many they 'take' away. Don't hear much from BW, perhaps because they haven't got many fans (oooh, the irony!)
Can't bring myself to care about Forest Green either way, Scunny at a push maybe.
Trying not to be too negative, we've shown we're more than a match for any of the above and we've got a week to lick our wounds. Season's not done by a long chalk. [Post edited 26 Apr 3:49]

One reason to factor in to any delay is that there may be a conversation about reducing the capacity further after what happened on Saturday. eg. Netting off seats etc.

Probably well over 95% of those in U block didn't go on the pitch. From my vantage point it was mostly those on the concourse at the bottom, they'd been left to stand there most of the second half with no attempt to move them by the stewards. There's a stadium control box in the opposite corner with CCTV equipment, and i assume the ground safety officer in attendance. Also a daft PA announcement that kept shouting out car reg numbers with no other information...god help us if there's a real emergency. So the pitch invasion was very predictable should a late goal go in and it could have been prevented if people in the ground had done their job properly. In the 96th minute of the game there should have been a reinforced line of stewards on the pitch in that corner but the stewards that were there didn't seem to react. The nature of the game and the timing of the goal made a pitch invasion almost inevitable, i think that would have happened at every ground in the country. Most who did run on the pitch had lost their minds with the excitement like we saw at Braintree last week, a lot of young kids also, overcome with emtion. They don't need banning. However there was some who were absoute balloons and on the pitch for trouble, they are the ones who need sorting out and a lot of them i didn't recognise as Dale fans.
The PA system in the ground has also become a health and safety issue, you can hardly hear it. I would also suggest that the female who uses it needs further training, she obviously isn't confident in what she's doing and is being set up for ridicule. As a club we need to start becoming a lot more professional and the stewarding is a disgrace to be honest, not fit for purpose. In house stewarding would be better, supplemented by a outside agency when required. [Post edited 27 Apr 13:53]

Interesting to note that we have to give 25% for this one as well which will be a very boisterous 2,400ish if Scunthorpe make it through, they are lively at the best of times.
We have had some incredibly unusual & dramatic circumstances in these big games recently which has given the security a near impossible task, I think you'd see similar at any ground given the crazy nature of the games we've seen. A nice routine peaceful 2-0 win would be just the tonic for everyone. |  |

Plays into my theory that a spell in the National League is bringing the club more publicity than it's ever had. People want to be associated with a team that wins a lot of football matches. We're also one of the big fish in this league. Good marketing over the summer should see season card sales rise, especially if get to Wembley or even end up promoted. Project 5000 isn't as far fetched as we once thought. We need to start winning these high profile games though, imagine the interest had we won the league on Saturday [Post edited 27 Apr 15:35]
