All year, i've been saying i don't fancy our chances in the playoffs, mainly due to what happened at the back end of last season
After yesterday, i do, and i'm backing Dale to go all the way. It's got nothing to do with "belief", just a gut feeling based on evidence on the pitch that we have what it takes this time round, and even more so after the devastation of not winning the title
What i saw yesterday was York were the better team, but we deserve to be in the EFL every bit as much as they do - we'd be a credit to the Football League
Noticed there's been no high( low)lights on the OS yet. When they appear, go watch them, and get the game out of your system. Do whatever you need to do, but get yourself to the COA on Sunday and help push this team forward

I thought tactically we were very astute putting in a performance which was miles better than the last 5 or 6 games.
This tactical know how can see us through to victory at Wembley I’m sure.

I would like to see some evidence of new thinking for Sunday`s game.
Watching the Scunny/Southend game last night reminded me how little seems to have gone into planning for corners and dead balls. We still rely on East or Pettit pumping corners into the same far post area, which the keeper and stoppers patrol. In the Morecambe game I counted 5 of our 9 corners (before they scored) went straight to the keeper and only one to a shot (over the bar). There are no short corners or aims at attackers running in. Free kicks seem to be pretty aimless- no short passes for a one-two and a shot on goal. Anything to break the opposition concentration.
We must have more shots on goal. One clever shot (Manni D and Hendo are experts) decided the game last night. Scunny favour the long throw in. It gives defenders something different to think about. | | | |

The approach to the Scunthorpe game will have to be different to the York game, we didn't have a shot on target until Mani's goal in the 95th minute. It's a role reversal because everybody will have us clear favourites to win the game, we've finished a mile in front of Scunthorpe and they have been in poor form lately. We should have won at Scunthorpe and also at home.
I'm hoping we take the game to our opponents and the manager sorts out the left hand side of the team, Moss is a defensive selection and as the home team it's down to us to go out and win this game rather than trying to just stay in it. I don't think the crowd will respond well to a passive performance, the stadium needs energising and attacking with intent will do that. I'd like to see Barlow start and maybe even Petit. The fact that Allarakhia isn't even featuring is a sad reflection on everybody, at the most important point of the season. He can beat a man unlike Moss. I'm really surprised we haven't seen Allarakhia in the no.10 role given our struggles there recently. He was starting to excel there before going to AFCON and I don't recall him playing there since.
Could have Hannant left (or even Bilongo if he's fit and we wanted a slightly more defensive option) and Taz in the left no.10 slot. |  | | |

JK Gordon or Hannant are an option but I fear Allarakhia's ability to beat a defender lies more in his imagination than reality (cf that penalty miss v Spennymoor) Pritchard also had short term success in the No 10 role but none have been consistently effective as others have noted. | |

Allarakhia is still our best option for me down that side, he can beat a man and make things happen. He's not Mr consistent but i've not seen anybody better than him in our sqaud. JK Gordon looks poor when i've seen him, he didn't feature against York. Then we have Burger, another offensive player who seems to have disappeared off the scene at the most important time of the season. He made a mistake at Scunthorpe and we haven't seen him since. Agree about Moss. Whilst defensively solid, he does carry a threat and was there to head the ball home early doors against York, whilst challenging the keeper in a way that would've gone unpunished in a previous era. He's already scored important goals
He also showed his ability to "mix it" with the early incidents when he ended up being elbowed (the ref just gave a warning to both) but it set our stall out that we weren't afraid to take them on physically - that's so important, and Scunthorpe will be using similar or even greater physicality

I would agree that since Allarakhia can been indifferent, I like JK Gordon, Luke Hannant seems to better coming on as sub. I think he will will pick Moss as the wide man and Barlow in the middle.
