Watford met underground to wembley park underground is 22 mins, £2.40 and is nearer to the stadium than the train station. |

There is a car park at the tube station although it is not a large car park and gets full early. On the road to the tube, Cassiobury park avenue, is available for on street parking that you could try although that also gets full early.
Watford is subject to controlled parking zones but Scammell Way off Tolpits Lane is not, just checked. This is where home and away fans for Watford park.

It takes about 3 hours and wont be moved if fans are in the stadium. Its also only a partial cover, I believe offering about 90% coverage, so front rows are not entirely covered. |  |

We took more than 17,000 then, had more than 80 coaches booked, merchandise was sold out etc etc. I do hope the club is undertaking some e-marketing to the club database to try and encourage more people to buy tickets. The ticket prices are reasonable and the travel costs manageable for many. Maybe its me, but I was a bit disappointed to learn we had only sold 7,000 so far yesterday.
The Wembley ticketing system isn't easy to use as it keeps giving people options for blocks that they then can't buy. It might be helpful if the Dale team could put something out about the blocks that are for sale and how they are being released. There have been almost no 'side of the pitch' tickets this time for example and wonder if that is putting people off?

I think that was a culmination of centenary year celebrations & the fact it was our first time visiting. Almost 18 years ago so there's a new generation now but many will have had the chance to visit for the Tottenham game. Looking at the website sales seem to be slow, think we'll struggle to reach 10,000 now to be honest. But at least we are all in one section which will be good.
Many of the National league finals total attendances are around 15,000-20,000, including when clubs like Wrexham, Tranmere & Grimsby were in them. Yes the Oldham & Southend attendance police will be on at us but last years final was a real anomaly at this level. |  |

No chance of getting anywhere near those numbers down to Wembley in such a short amount of time. The tickets went on sale only two days ago and the game is nearly upon us. The Stockport game was a novelty for many, the first chance to see the Dale play at Wembley. We were also a EFL 2 team then and higher profile. I was expecting us to sell 8000 tickets at short notice but if we manage to get anywhere near 10,000 i think that will be a good effort in less than a week of ticket sales. Our average home attendance this season was just under 3200, that also feels like a increase on last season maybe? Should we be promoted, increased away support could possibly see us averaging over 4000 next season. [Post edited 6 May 9:44]

Not in the least disappointing. That first visit was very much a "didn't think we'd ever see Dale at Wembley" moment, plus people are a bit more cash-strapped than back then
Not overexcised about merch either, for similar reasons

I did think all of the side of the pitch blocks had sold out? But you are saying they aren't being sold?

What issues are you having with the Wembley Ticketing portal, as it seems to be working fine for me?

Aside from not being able to choose your specific seats (which i understand desirable from customer perspective but not from retailer perspective) i think portal looks to be working fine.
Only thing of note, block 113 is listed as 523 under both Level 1 and Level 2 Safe Standing - but there is no safe standing in that block - it's all normal seating.

For anyone moaning about the numbers and not taking as many as 2008 I certainly think this time will be a lot better organised. Yes there might have been a lot more Dale fans at Wembley but there were thousands sat up in the top tiers miles away from other Dale fans lower down. This time we will be all together and the atmosphere will be amazing. Just need to go and win it now. | |

I'm not going to get too hung up on the amount attending on Sunday - I still think we'll hit roughly 10k which is about par for most clubs in and around our level - Oldham are an ex premier league side who were in their first promotion season since the early 90s? They can harp on about attendances all they want but their day trippers haven't exactly been flocking to Boundary Park this season.
The atmosphere is the more important topic, I see the 10k (minus some Exiles) as our total available fanbase and we want to make this as positive experience so that we're getting the most back into Spotland next season and beyond.
We all want a winning team, but for new younger supporters they also want a good atmosphere that they can enjoy.
Whilst the atmosphere all season has been great (shoutout to U block) the past 2 weeks in particular have been fantastic to witness and we can add to that on Sunday with a belting atmosphere and hopefully promotion to boot.

I tried a number of times yesterday to buy 3 adult Rochdale tickets in level 1 for £40 each. It kept directing me to blocks 141, 142. They are both on the other side of the tunnel and I am absolutely sure they are Borehamwood seats. In all 6 attempts to buy, spread over 6 hours, there were never any seats in block 103 - and despite me asking for 3 tickets it kept sending me a message to say there were only 2 seats left in block 104. In other words the system wouldn't sell me a 'side of pitch' ticket and was only letting me buy £35 tickets behind the goal. Now you are telling me they have released more seats in block 103 and 104. I guess that is why you thought we'd sold 2,000 seats yesterday than we had - they hadn't in fact released the whole block.
Anyway I have mine now and will enjoy the day. Still think the ticketing system is shite.
I can see that many of my fellow Daleys didn't like my observations above. Was just hoping we could create a bit more hype so that we might find a way to attract more fans so that we can get nearer to the 5,000 target we crave. | | | |
