For a fiver, you can get a Fan Card, which then gets you £5 off each ticket you purchase, i.e. pays for itself the first time you use it

I think the prices on that link are last season's, so it needs updating.
If you look at this season's matchday prices ( https://rochdaleafc.co.uk/matc and subtract £5, they aren't the same as on the Fan Card link.
e.g. a Senior in Pearl Street is £12 advance/£14 on the day on the Fan Card link, but £14/£16 on the Match Tickets link (i.e. the matchday prices less £5). | |

The old argument used to be that season ticket holders should be included in announced match attendances whether or not they actually rolled up on the theory that they’d paid to attend.
How you reconcile that with what are essentially free tickets I’m not sure. | | | |

It’s work in progress but two adults and four children under the age of 14 attending a match for £26 is actually unbelievable.
£26 would just above cover six happy meals.
You can’t fault the board for their initiative here, surely must be one of not the cheapest around? It’s a shame there’s not more uptake but not surprising either. Work to be done to engage the borough, last season obviously helped.
With 20% of the borough of Rochdale being Asian, there’s untapped potential there too for the community trust. We need to see the town coming together across the entire demographic, young old, race. It’s our home, our team.
The disconnect and fan engagement (lack of) at the elite level appears to be helping. Why take your child to Old Trafford when you can have a fun day out and feel part of the Dale movement. No brainer. [Post edited 19 Aug 17:44]

This is like an open door, it's just we've never been able to walk through it
We have an MP who's onside, we have a council that's possibly less pro-Hornets and most important of all, an owner and Board of Directors who have the interests of the town at heart
The "Home Wins Network" which is about to take off, featuring Cameron Ogden, is a great opportunity for the town. We captured the imagination last season, and there's a chance to build on that. If we struggle at first on the field, it'll make it even more of a journey. Managers come and go (thanks Jim, best of luck) but what remains is a fanbase and an almost unprecedented opportunity to build upon it, with all sections of our community involved [Post edited 19 Aug 19:02]

Regardless of how many are U14 or not this is a real positive step. We've had initiatives in the past that have been tried and failed (I seem to remember one a few years ago where the season ticket got cheaper the more we sold? Don't think that took off as well as hoped)
You've got to time these with on the pitch progress too as I can't imagine we've have sold 3300 for our first season in NL..
It'll be the U14s pushing their parents to keep taking them to the games and I think every fan has a responsibility to make sure these are great match days out. Backing the team, being loud and proud and hopefully some good football too.
I'd be buzzing with 4000 (home fans) on Saturday, and I expect us to have a couple of sellouts for bigger league games this year, which was something only reserved for a big cup game in years gone by. | | | |

League rules state that a club should make provision for 2,000 away fans at each home fixture, or at least 10% of the capacity of the ground where that isn't possible. The National League was a 15% rule I think. So I suspect we might have to offer 2,000.
But I was also reading that a club that cannot offer at least 200 spaces under cover will face a penalty in the league funding allocation unless they have been granted a dispensation from the EFL Board. Maybe that is insufficient 'punishment' for clubs that only allow open ended accommodation for fans. | | | |

Not sure that was ever really true - just hearsay. Over the past few seasons we have announced several attendances that we lower than the number of season tickets sold. A sad state of affairs in its own right. But we are climbing the stairs again rather than tumbling down them | | | |

I'm imagine that Oldham will get as much of the Away stand as possible once the netted off areas are in place.
York, it doesn't matter. Their average away following was 750 ish last year and they took 1600 to Halifax. Our game against them this year won't have the jeopardy or stakes of last year so they won't get close to the capacity of the away stand. | | | |

It's noticeable on Fanbase that only half of U Block has sold as of right now. I expect that to be packed tomorrow.
Project 5000 becomes so much more achievable if we can break that 4k marker regularly. It's an easy win for club marketing that can build hype in the run up to games.
