Teamtalk claiming he is on a shortlist of four should Palace sack the current manager.

Any successful manager with us will always draw attention. Hopefully he has bought into the "project".

I will be shocked if he wants to go at this moment in time.

The 'project' as you say is all down to him.

We’ve all tried to convince ourselves of that in the past. I’m predicting nothing, we all know money talks.

Why is it always our good managers who attract attention? Always something that comes along to distract our good form and focus.

Matos has limited experience of being a no1, hes in his late 30s, it is him and his coachinf team that has got us where we are.

He has plenty of time to go to a bigger club, I truly believe that as he has started this project he wont leave until we have given it a good crack.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is naïve at best.

In most walks of life, if someone offers you more money to do something at a higher level, you take it.

Football fans and clubs are fickle. A run of poor form, and the messiah becomes the pariah.

That said I don't believe Palace would take a punt on Matos.

He has encouraged a number of good players to us with his contacts, like the fact they are permanent contracts to build towards a future with or without him.

Palace are a very well run club by Steve Parish so of course - Matos will be on a "list". I expect other clubs in the Premier League will also be monitoring Matos' tremendous progress.

One bad run - say - five games without a win and Matos will be under pressure.

I would be amazed if Matos jumped to Palace should they sack in the next two weeks.

However, would a club like Brighton (JamesTown) be ready to approach should their manager leave - having got off to an incredible start this season?

Our Director of Football has come from Crystal Palace, as well as our away team shirt!

Away team shirt a reflection of many years gone by.

No approach made, currently these reports are unfounded, another Coleman copy and paste from other sources.

Matos walked out on Marítimo after just 12 matches last season. Just saying.

As has been said,Matos won’t be the only one clubs are aware of
Helberg at Boro likes the cash ,maybe he’d jump if approached

We should all know that very few managers stick around when offerd more in wages and greater resources.

Hoping that ANY manager has bought into the project so much they won't leave is naive at best.

In fact the ony time managers won't walk away is when they are failing, they don't quit then, they wait for the sack and the big payout.

Money talks of course. Main thing to me would be hard to resist the temptation of managing in the top league. If he's touted and refuses he may never get another chance.

Take us up and he will have plenty of offers throughout Europe.

What Swansea manager has lasted over two full seasons in the era of progression starting with Nick Cusak. ?

Gone by January 2028 at the latest on that metric.

If we get promoted summer of 2027 and are in the top 6 of the Prem by Xmas, that would be highly likely

The average tenure of an EFL Championship manager is less than one year, if any of ours last anywhere near two seasons we really are bucking the trend. Personally for me I'm not particularly worried as managers and owners come and go, pretty much like Internet trolls, its the supporters that are constant.

With a considerable sum banked in compensation after he signed his contract extension.

Personally, I don’t think he’ll go. I think Palace will need an experienced manager to steer them clear if the relegation zone. The only time they’d consider him maybe is if their situation is hopeless and want to equip themselves with someone who could get them back up first time if asking. And even then…

I feel the same. If you were Palace would you go for a manager who was having 3 months success or would you want more experience.
