WTF is that all about?

Never knowingly right.

Oh, that’s easy. It represents the ‘iconic pink and black colourway associated with Elvis Presley’s breakthrough years on the Louisiana Hayride’.

Obvious, innit.

Edit: For clarification (sort of), it’s something to do with Sunderland fans’ matchday anthem Can’t Help Falling In Love. On that basis, shouldn’t our next kit feature a ‘silver lining’?

How about our lilac kit - hate it.

I actually bought the black kit this season. i would wear this for away games and we seem to have had good results in it, but the lilac is just wrong for me.

If you want to intimidate, mean black or lightweight light purple !!!!

Wasn’t Elvis a bit of a nonce? In which case having a kit dedicated to him is a questionable choice…

I agree and don’t understand why it was worn st Southampton rather than the home kit. They wore red and white stripes either black shorts and socks, none of which clash with Blue and white hoops, with white shorts and socks.

Yes, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Wyman and even George Harrison have had noncey connotations in their past.

Not sure where the bar is anymore to get someone cancelled.

Is it OK if you marry them, I dunno?

Most superstars are horrible people when you get into it.

One of my favourite stories of this was about Eric Clapton.

A famous car lover Eric was coming back from a tour and Patti Boyd picked him up from the airport in a brand new Ferrari that was delivered while he was away.
When they got home Eric sold the car, as he was upset he wasn't the first person to drive it.

This is the level of arsehole of an average superstar

The only way it makes sense (ahem) is if our Errea contract stipulates we have to wear the change kits a certain number of times.

Rwminds me of a story I heard about Jason McAteer that while ridiculous, arguably paints him in a favourable light.

JM was one of the first people to get a Porsche Boxster in the north west. First Sunday, he drives out to see his mates' team play, which he always did without fail, when not playing himself. After the game he'd take their kit and flags back to Liverpool to clean but on this particular Sunday, he couldn't get them into the Porsche.

Two weeks later, he rocks up in a new 4x4. When asked what had happened to the Porsche, he purportedly replied, 'I couldn't get the kit and flags in to it, so I thought I'd buy this!'

I thought we submit our kit choice to the referee and he either confirms it or asks for it to be changed?

I might be wrong, would be good to know the official process!
