As a gift i gave him the box set of Father Ted* to try to modernise him which got me wondering. What over the last 5/10 years has the potential to be seen as iconic Brit Comedy. Mrs Browns Boys need not apply. *I know Craggy Island is not British.

Good. Mrs Browns Boys is terrible. I'd cautiously suggest The Inbetweeners because despite its puerility, it's very funny and I doubt it would work in other countries but Britain. Not Going Out has its moments and seems very British to me. I thought The Office was iconically British too but the American version seems to be rated even more highly.

Oh I don't know. Nottingham-born Nathan Stanton winding-up Notts County fans at Meadow Lane 11 years ago was quite comedic. When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
