Thankfully the Sandy has been incommunicado as far as the loudspeaker system is concerned for most of last season so this news is not of any concern to be honest. Although, it would be pleasant to have an announcer rather than a shouter who actually imparts useful information such as, who is on the teamsheet, perhaps a cautious welcome to visiting supporters and and indication of winning raffle numbers and some other halftime scores rather than another cacophany of his personal music preferences. Who knows, maybe some kids will get a mention on their birthdays in future, you know, some of those small things that engage supporters before, during halftime and after games as we trudge out through the only exit available. .. |  | | |

Definitely time for a change and I'm glad he's moved on , although I don't have any personal vendetta towards him - or anyone who posts on here for that matter, we're all grown ups aren't we?
Personally I like most of the stuff he plays but sadly lacking in variety.
I always got the impression that he was trying hardest to please the away supporters, often overplaying bands from whatever neck of the woods the away team was from. I'd much rather they have a shit time at Spotland and don't feel in the mood to create an atmosphere to encourage their own team. |  |
