On first impressions, we are playing a much more direct style looking to move the ball into the opposition half quickly, trying to utilise pace to get in behind wherever possible.
Get the impression that there’s as much value in winning throw-ins and corners in their half as turning out and keeping the ball. |  |

Agree with that. It’s a shame the final ball is lacking quality as we’re getting close to their area and then either a heavy touch or a poor cross is undoing the good work. Brierley is bright and Malley is looking to make things happen (doesn’t always come off though)

Bit of a microcosm of our season so far. Plenty of possession but some badly placed or weighted passes and no end product. Some statuesque defending and keeper nearly caught in possession twice when Accy playing high press. All that being said though, we haven't conceded from a set piece (yet) and there does seem to be a greater emphasis on pushing forward quickly and not via 25 passes each attack. Aidy White and Odoh both causing problems and with a little more composure when we get close in on goal, we could get something from this yet. Not been impressed with Tulloch so far. Think we may have found a midfield. Ball, Malley and Brierley have all contributed I’m different ways. Malley has a bit of Gary Jones about him the way he looks to drive forward with the ball.
Whatever happens now, the early signs are good. Would have been easy to capitulate after the recent run but we’ve visibly carried on battling even when two down. | |
