Getting all the positives in now: Credit to Seriki and Graham too, the former has shown he can indeed play a traditional right back role when he gets used to playing slightly deeper.
Irrespective of what anyone says, Graham has played well this season.

Graham has done well tonight, not sure about Seriki, he gets caught with the ball far too often for my liking.

Think we may have found a midfield. Ball, Malley and Brierley have all contributed I’m different ways. Malley has a bit of Gary Jones about him the way he looks to drive forward with the ball.
Whatever happens now, the early signs are good. Would have been easy to capitulate after the recent run but we’ve visibly carried on battling even when two down.
Kelly and Yaya toure's dad come on in midfield this could change it for us

Yes, it’s disappointing to concede late again but fantastic to see such fight when heads could have easily dropped. A platform to build upon - let’s see what happens tomorrow in terms of ins and outs.

Definitely more room for optimism after tonight
At least no-one will get carried away by an early victory, but a L1 outfit scrambling a draw with us at full time is a victory for Jim Bentley. He'll have learnt a lot tonight about who's up for the fight and where we need to strengthen
A heartening result at FT. JB cannot take all the credit but it’s a encouraging start, and people’s spirits have been lifted in the last few days. I know collateral form can be dangerous, but Orient and Northampton got hammered by L1 opponents tonight while we got a draw. Mighty oaks and all that. Glass is half full.

Lost on penalties.
Balls.
A real shame as a win would really have boosted everyones confidence, especially coming from 2-0 down. Hope the last gasp equaliser and pen loss doesn't knock the players too much ahead of Saturday.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

One swallow etc but many positive signs tonight. Fill Brierley and Malley with confidence and they can outclass many League 2 midfields this season, just give them a protective sitter in behind and tell them to go out and express themselves and make us smile. So good to see Dos Santos on the pitch and the club's social media channels elevating our young lads, a clear shift in tone there already.
Got the impression last season we lost the buy in of our big characters who don't suffer fools and they retreated into shadows of themselves - EOC, Charman, White, add Hendo to that mix this season. Same principle as the visible difference we're seeing in the likes of Bairstow, Anderson, Broad etc under the new England cricket leadership. Little signs of subtle shifts tonight that offer plenty of confidence for the weeks ahead. Well done EBJ and well done board and George.

I don’t really bother with the Pizza Trophy but didn’t tonight’s game finish in a draw, so we picked up a point. The penalties were played out to win a extra bonus point? Apologies if i’ve got that wrong.

Yep thats right. We are third in the table. Pity we couldn't take all 3 points after such a strong fight back. But that was much better and Bentley will have learned alot about the character of the squad. Good to see Brierley score his first senior goal and Hendo looked much stronger too.
Slickers movement on the goal line for the penalties seem to give the Accy players a real chance to go the other way. Why did he keep doing it?

Noticed Dos Santos came on late in the game aged 15! Whatever happened to Peter Thomas? Is he still at Dale?
Bentley mentions the youth system here. Puts to bed some stuff posted on Twitter, not sure why outsiders think we consistently bring players through anyway. Brierley is the first since Matheson who wasn’t exactly playing every week, it’s probably no more or less than most clubs. There’s no doubt the work done by the academy has been excellent down the years, but on the pitch some of those players we’ve sold - Matheson, Adshead - haven’t been regulars on the team sheet. Morley was the last who was, and even he only came back into the side under BBM.
There’s no reason why Bentley won’t use players if they’re good enough, as shown tonight.

Because some outsiders - well, one in particular - think they're an expert on every club in the EFL.
You mean you STILL haven't worked out why some posts get down-ticked?
