The 2023 Rugby World Cup Thread 22:00 - Aug 16 with 48437 viewsKeithHaynes

Our very own RWC thread.

Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England will join 16 other nations as they compete for the ultimate prize in rugby – the Webb Ellis Cup – which was last won by the Springboks in 2019. The opening match of Rugby World Cup 2023 will see hosts France face three-time winners New Zealand on Friday 8th September. The final will take place seven weeks later on Saturday 28th October.

Really pleased to see the Irish prevailing, it was a ferocious game with no quarter given. Thought the ref favoured SA who are very cute with their off the ball obstruction.

Wouldn’t discount the South Africans winning it, if they’d had a kicker they’d have won.

fine margins who says that said kicker wouldn't of crumbled under the weight of the Irish attack?

Sorry, but I don’t see Wales beating Australia. Jones will have targeted this game and they’ll have too much at the end. Won’t be that much in it but a losing BP is the best they’ll get imho. Hope I’m wrong.

You can't argue that they are a very strong side, mentally and tactically strong.

World Champs in the making unless they bottle the job, but I can't see that happening, not at all.

Perhaps if a South African met you, being the only Welshman he had met, he, most likely, would say the same about the Welsh. 👍

Penalty advantage then advantage over because we went 50 metres, however some penalty advantage go on forever.

Excellent by Wales but I did say in the Fiji Aussie game that this is the worst Australian side since Brendan Moon was on the wing in the early 80's. . However hats of to Wales..well drilled side
