Solid. Hodge obviously great run and finish, but looked tidy and lively otherwise. Hayden did a good job breaking up play and put a good shift in. Frey looked pretty rusty and didn't do a ton but looked like he will be an effective outball, was strong in the air.

My take from the match thread

Hodge with a goal, Hayden looked like he’ll fit right in and put in some great tackles, Frey tbh looked like a bit like one of the locals from the White Horse had been given a runout but great to see all three of them straight into the mix.

Hayden looked good will be 1st choice for sure. Hodge took his goal well and had a good touch. Frey won everything in the air, had good movement in the box but is slow, so when he came on we ended getting deeper and deeper. As bad as Sinc's finishing / touch was today, he brings so much more for us in our ability to get up the pitch and relieve pressure on the defence

Just from the 40 mins they had they look like starters to me. Frey didn't have much to work with. Won more headers than not and worked hard across the front line.
Hayden looks like he can tackle but also calmly keep possession. Hodge as I thought played in the Dykes roll when he came on. Nice run and took his goal well.
Still shocked by that 10 mins added though.

Smells like a trout farm in here

All did fine, Hodge took his goal well nicely played in by Armstrong. Hayden looked solid, Frey needs matches to get him up to speed.

You can tell Hodge and Armstrong played together before.
Combined well for goal.
Superbly taken as well.

The way he let the ball run across him before shooting showed great confidence and composure- really encouraging

That's exactly how Remy scored most of his gaols for us. Wouldn't touch a pass, just get his body into the right shape for giving himself the best chance of scoring and then bang.

Hodge and Hayden both very good, exactly what we need.
Frey came on when we were hanging on a bit so hard to judge as he was just chasing long balls

Ferey looked very immobile.
Our press broke down with that sub and we had to go deep.
The game changed completely, and from Cifuentes' post-match interview it wasn't by choice.

I didn't think he looked as mobile as that.

Yeah I tend to agree but is hard to judge as the game was getting away from us when he came on and he got no service at all

He's also clearly going to get fitter, to be fair.

In fairness to Frey, he was up top all on his own as all the midfield dropped off and the press along with it.

I thought Hodge looked great, took his goal really well. A true box to box player with a great engine and eye for goal. Everything Dozzell should have been. Will play a massive part in our survival push and will without doubt replace Dykes in the side.
