I know others swear by the use of the ignore button, but I joined this board to read and occasionally respond to others' views on the club we support. Whether I agree or not with those views, it's been interesting and informative. It's a fantastic site with a fantastic creator/moderator/reporter and I have throughly enjoyed it over the years.
Yesterday was just a step too far for me with virtually every thread infected by a single poster who it appears is deliberately trying to wind people up and sabotage the site. Well, it's worked. As is all too common, the valuable aspects of social media ruined by a small minority (or individual) who see themselves above the rest. Shame.
I look forward to his usual holier than thou pronouncements after we don't win tonight.
I have no issue with the opinions. We all have them. I just find them to be so emotionally irrational and the approach so emotionally immature. I guess QPR can make us all a bit emotionally irrational sometimes, but we can still be grown up enough to consider a view and argue our point with respect. What I have issue with is being spoken to like a piece of crap or others being spoken to like that for having a different view or challenging a statement. To then be told a message board is about opinions but what he quite clearly means, it is about his opinion.
I think we have to remember that this poster has had a very sad and unhappy life, a failure at everything, probably an incel, and he has now found something he is good at, winding up other people. Every time someone gives up posting, it is a little victory for him. So don't give up, just ignore his posts. It's quite easy really.
I remember that Doran couldn't spell very well, although he may have found spellchecker by now.
He tried to get me fired back in the day by phoning my work!
think he tried that with a few people to be honest , hes more common at games theses days im sorry to say still totally barking mad. be intresting if anyone notes what times hes ;osting as if he as at game id be suppsired he can still hear the voices during the game an post at the same time.
theres one other possible who it could be he also funnily enough equally ad bad as doran , hes also a shocking pen taker which will give some a hint !

Whilst I definitely agree with the message in this thread..I’m a little concerned that a fellow Rangers fan could feel so vilified and isolated as a result of reading this thread. It’s clear as day who this is aimed at, but I sense a need to try to be as understanding and tolerant as possible. I think we all need a bit of space and a few apologies wouldn’t be amiss. A good result..and respectable performance tonight would surely help a reset and we won’t have to press any ignore buttons.

Did that once before, and said I agree with some of your points. What I got in return is 'I don't care if you agree with me' Or when point out that they need to change their approach, I am a tiresome, horrible individual.

It's hard to be tolerant of someone who is so intolerant of and abusive towards anyone who disagrees with them.
Pigeon-hearted, fence-sitting malingerers no more capable of withstanding the white heat of a spirited back and forth than a humble slug.
(Sorry I'm just bored)
I observed that the manager shrugged his shoulders a lot when we lost. Called him Le Shrug.
Some people lost their sh1t over that. The level of pearl clutching was insane, 1 poster had the decency to say I thought it was just a joke. Boston.
28 others liked a post that basically called me a right wing C.U.N.T, many not for the first time. When I challenged one of the noisier 'sheep' on why I was a right wing C.U.N.T they then admitted they didn't really know. I won't name them.
If you defend your position on this board, do it carefully it's like a playground in here sorry.
I use the ignore button now and my god has the place improved. I miss the odd match thread but who cares the peace is wonderful.
I stay because Clive is a great writer, Danny, Dorse and a few others share an irreverent sense of humour and all the people close to the club feed good information which I value.
Sadly the politics is awful, I'll give you the Aston Villa V Maccabi therad as an example. Anyone, and sorry to say this but anyone with a brain could see what was going on but many just kept quiet.
We could all do better, try and remember that and use the button instead of posting thread like this. I get it, but try and be the better man.

I think part of the problem is that the frustrations have probably built up over time and people may not pearl-clutch if another person said the same thing. This may be a case of 'playing the man, not the ball' but that will be as a direct consequence of how a person has conducted themselves over many months/years.
Does he ? I always thought he was a blast from the past Matt Doran ,those of the oldies will remember him well . Same style of writing , totally off his head most of the time .
Matt Doran was very young when he made those posts. He was actually a nice fellah in real life.

Not in my case, that was rather the point.
Some are just simply not as 'saintly' as they perceive themselves to be Juzzie. All while passing judgement on others
You read it for what it is, and then you and nobody else controls your reaction.
The definition of madness is repeating the same mistake expecting different results.

Just read a few of those Doran mentions - whoa, that surprised me. He would have been about 14 though. But, was it Wombat who said he knows him now? Haven't spotted the blonde one since Sunderland away, 'Arry's first game in charge.
Poor old Matt Doran, I think he's what's known as 'on the spectrum' but a harmless lad at the end of the day who meant well but could not grasp nuance.
I remember a post match session in the Bushranger when Chappers and co got hold of him, plying him with drink and other substances, he survived that with good humour. But the idea that he might be the author of such lines as "I'm in some kind of aesthetic minority" made me chuckle.
You’re all good mate. I know a few thought you were an easy target early on but, as soon as you were big enough to explain your disability, everyone now understands and accepts.
