The BBC suggest it was goal line technology that gave it. Unless they installed it for this game how can it be. The ball came from the York dug out by the way because the York players couldn't find a matchball to play for the throw in by the dug outs |
I'm pretty sure we won the throw in from their kickoff. They shouldn't have got the ball back in our half from that position - we should see the game out. |  |

I agree. You can look for all themes used in the world but we fluffed it. The pitch invasion allowed York to catch their breath and find some sort of composure. In that time our adrenaline players included has probably taken over and foggy brains.
Either way. It was ours to lose and has been for the last two months and we lost it. Somehow, they have to find an inner belief to go again but that will be hard. Performance wise, york were the better team. We looked better but still not convincing. Rodney needs to retire before Hendo, not fit to lace the lads boots. That pass from Hendo for the goal is unreal. How he wasn’t on that field sooner is annoying. |  | | |

I thought we looked solid and composed at the back, which was a relief after being very wobbly in the last few weeks. I didn’t feel like York threatened too much altho they had more of the chances in the second half.
It really did seem like our game plan was just ‘try and sneak a goal in the 95th minute’. Second half especially it didn’t feel like we were guns blazing - I’m not sure we had a single shot on goal(?).
Trying to look for positives - we went up against the mighty York and didn’t get beat. There’s no reason we can’t go on now and win 2 more games and go up.
But it’s gonna be very difficult to get the players up for it again after that.
No point in the what ifs of the fans staying off the pitch - a pitch invasion was always gonna happen no matter who scored.
Let’s just hope we don’t become the footnote of the team with the highest ever points total to not get promoted. |  | | |

You can hugely increase your chances of doing that by playing someone of Hendo's quality for longer, if not from the start

God it’s brutal supporting this team isn’t it.
So many what ifs, doesn’t bear thinking about.
And yet….I’ve felt worse as a dale fan. I was there in league 1 when we scraped back from 2-0 down against Walsall to go 3-2 up, only to immediately concede a 94th min equaliser in the year we went down. I was there when we went down that year against chesterfield. FC united. Spennymoor. Playoffs last year. Genuinely dismal times under Steve eyre, and under jim Bentley. We nearly didn’t have a club to support not very long ago. We’ve been conditioned for disappointment after disappointment.
Football is a cruel sport and we have suffered more than most.
Yes, the manner of this is cruel, but we played pretty well, we went toe to toe with a very expensively assembled York team, we have a talented squad who love the club, and I’m so PROUD to be a dale fan.

Just thinking the same. Watching at home as an exile I was running round the house when we scored.
I then said to my wife that the pitch invasion could come back to haunt us as York were able to regroup.
Despite the raw emotion of losing the title in such a way I wish York all the best.
