| Are we cursed? on 17:28 - Apr 25 by NorthernDale | After so many decades of watching the Dale, we may be cursed, I am fearful of next Sunday, both Southend and Scunthorpe seem to have a jinx over us in recent years. |
One of those two will be out after Tuesday, I think. Come on Scunny!

| Are we cursed? on 17:38 - Apr 25 by dingdangblue | Dazn have 6 mins on their footage. Mani scored right on 5 mins. 1 min to survive and we got a throw in from their kick off. If you are going for a title you see that 1 min out. It's not normal what happened. We are cursed - unless we are promoted at Wembley on Sunday May 10th my mind will not change. |
Don't know why, but they never gave it out at the game. I had to check the club's X account to find out, so I'm only going off that.

| Are we cursed? on 17:44 - Apr 25 with 2982 views | Dale2017 | How much time was there between the restart after our goal and York scoring? I didn't see the board go up and the tannoy in the sandy was non existent today so didnt know exactly how much time was added. It felt like there was no time added at all after the restart from Yorks goal. If it was 8 mins surely there should've been more time to play? (Clutching at strawsđ) | | | |
| Are we cursed? on 17:45 - Apr 25 with 2962 views | James1980 | Just to set the record straight I wasn't calling for blind faith nodding dog happy clappiness. I just thought some of the remarks that were veiled digs were unnecessary. Are we cursed I think curses are self fulfilling so if fans go into the game next Sunday thinking we are then unfortunately it could transfer to the players. Invasion was daft but had they not there was enough time for York to equalise. Again as a wise man said Chaos Theory. Which applies to all of the what is. | |

I'm sorry but you can't even see the ball on that 1st angle because Petit is in the way. The original footage looks like Smith has cleared it on the line. Doesn't really matter as the lino ran off waving his flag.
| |
| Are we cursed? on 20:25 - Apr 25 with 2406 views | NorthYorksDale | The telling factor for me is the position of the lino as the shot goes in, heâs crouching down next to the corner flag looking along the line with an unobstructed view. If he sees the whole of the ball on that side of the post then he puts the flag upâŚ.and he does that immediately. We might never get definitive evidence but the footage from the main stand side and the position of the Lino suggest to me it was in unfortunately. | | | |

I was listening to Radio York coverage and they said that time added was not being announced at any of todays national league games. Seemed odd to me.
| Are we cursed? on 20:41 - Apr 25 with 2300 views | DenbighshireDale | Radio Bolton defo gave it as six minutes. | | | |
| Are we cursed? on 20:46 - Apr 25 with 2271 views | dawlishdale | It was announced on DAZN as 6 minutes, and we scored in the 5th minute of the 6. That really should have been game over. It really should. Idiots on the pitch from both U Block and Sandy Lane. I reckon between 3 and 4 minutes for that. Then, it appears that Mini D lost his shirt (or had it taken by said pitch encroachers). The delay allowed York to get a rapid Pep Talk from Maynard and regroup. Still, we could and should have been able to see the remaining time out. I'm not convinced that the referee allowed the correct time following our goal...seemed a couple of minutes too long. I'm also not convinced that the whole of the ball crossed the line. The ref certainly couldn't see it, but the linesman on the York side was flagging and off like a rabbit as soon as possible, so I guess he saw it as a goal through several bodies on the line. On the balance of play overall, I think York deserved at least a draw, although the manner of them getting it combined with our moronic pitch invaders makes it feel 100 times worse. On to the play offs, with two bogey teams awaiting. Both seem to be able to raise their games against us; especially Southend. My overall conclusion is that it's been a fantastic season for us, but boy oh boy the Brackley experiment has bitten us fair and square on th'arse. We all wondered if it would, and sadly it has . Maybe that's our curse? I really hope we can pull ourselves out of the depression we must be feeling tonight and raise ourselves for two more battles. Up the Dale. | | | |

If weâd beaten Brackley, we wouldnât automatically have another three points and be above York. No more than losing at home to Morecambe, or dropping late points at Halifax or Scunthorpe. Today of all days proves that. The added time not being announced was strange, but as we rightly said, itâs a minimum so no complaints as to when they scored. Itâs a shame we didnât defend it better, including Mani who had joined the back line after the restart but completely misses a header in the lead up.

Dieseruvwe scores after 94:56 York score 1 minute and 14 seconds after the game restarts. That ends all arguments about too much added time.

As discussed earlier in the week, refs won't whistle for full time whilst a team is attacking, even if that means a few more seconds are added to the total

Happened a few months back when Arsenal won at Bournemouth. Home players were furious as they were attacking, although it may be frowned upon, itâs up to the ref when he decides to blow. Either way. Playing 6 mins and 10 seconds more than fits into the âminimum of six minutesâ. As has been mentioned, the way we took the throw, the missed opportunity to head clear and lack of organisation across the box contributed to the goal.

Watching that Dazn injury time clip makes me feel even worse. We literally had to see out less than a minute after we won the throw in. Then someone jumps under their long throw in and they get the ball to Stones to create the chance. It's so infuriating to watch.

| Are we cursed? on 23:08 - Apr 25 with 1615 views | TalkingSutty | We aren't cursed. No point looking for excuses and saying York didn't deserve that, i'm assuming the ball crossed the line. York's players didn't hesitate celebrating the goal and McNulty didn't complain in his post match interview, very few Dale players did neither. The pitch invasion wasn't great but under those circumstances that would have happened at most grounds wouldn't it? That's not condoning it or excusing the behaviour of the fans but a goal deep into injury time to win the league sends people crazy. The management and backroom staff, subs etc also needed to be cleared off the pitch. We all wanted to win today but my biggest fear was that we would start the game slow and tentative and the energy from the crowd would be sucked out of them, we saw none of that though. The game plan worked to a tee, stay in the game and don't concede, take the game deep and then introduce offensive players from the bench. The cross from Hendo for the goal was fantastic and Mani buried it. The equailiser was poor defending. A chaotic passage of play though. The delay in the game gave York the chance to clear their heads and formulate a quick plan. We seemed to be still celebrating the goal instead of focusing. Had the pitch invasion not happened the York players wouldn't have had time for consultation and plans and i'm sure we would have won. Self harming comes in different guises, entering the pitch contributed to the result today i think. There is hope though, we put in a solid performance today against the best team in the league. A big improvement on what we've seen over the last six weeks. The biggest game in the clubs history in front of a very big crowd, Did the players turn up and did they do us proud? Of course they did. Jim McNulty did also, the way he set us up and approached the game came within seconds of lifting silverware for the first time in our history. The scars of today will be etched into us deeply, you can pretend as much as you want that you've got over it but they'll always be there now. I'm hoping the players have the mental strength to go again next Sunday , they deserve to grace Wembley and if it happens then surely it's our time. Seconds from lifting silverware today, let's now do it at Wembley instead. | | | |

I dont know of any other date in the regular season that has been so bad for us. OK we dont play every season on April 25...but we have played plenty of times in that 117 years. Those footy gods again.

As said earlier, no complaints about today's performance. We matched them for intensity and physicality from the off although they had more of the ball The incident with Dan Moss early on, where he accidently caught their lad near the touchline led to him copping an elbow in retaliation which should've been a yellow at the very least Not sure we'd actually lift silverware if we won the playoffs, but despite the downer i'm more confident than hitherto about our prospects, i think it'll just add to the determination
