Like EEL, I’m now of the belief he can only be used in a three. Hasn’t got the legs to deal with situations like that second goal.
Can’t believe we didn’t try the back three and wingbacks in a game like this. As it is, all we’ve done is confirm how we leave so much space all over the pitch with players too wide or too high. | |

Unfortunately a game many would have written off as being pretty meaningless in the bigger picture has managed to have a bigger negative impact than any could have predicted.
We played the second 45 with our current keeper, 3 of the back 4, 3 first team midfielders and Hayes.

Another really poor performance against Doncaster Rovers reserves. 1-4 is probably a fair reflection of the difference between the sides. We are miles off being an effective outfit.
Inept weak defending, overrun in midfield and other than Hendo toothless up front. Some of the players treating the game like a practice match. Can't really think of any obvious plus points and we await injury news.
Our XG for much of the second half was zero. Even Hayes and Middleton look as if they have lost their mojo since arriving at the club.
The reaction of some of the younger players after conceding the third and the fourth goals was informative. They looked shattered and devoid of fighting spirit.
If we loose on Saturday in the same manner I don't see that there can be any doubt about what the Board need to do. | | | |

After the 3 subs introduced at half time we went backwards... Flint slower than a mobility scooter and Wilson Bambi on ice. 1st Teamers didn't look arsed including Hayes who kept running with his head down and losing the ball ... Midfield missing again.
