Kelly trained this morning but not 100%, 2 more 'important' players gone down this morning with the same illness.
Still no Downing or Andrews.
Just an interesting point of note (as someone who is still Stockdale in and really wants him to succeed) - in his last 2 interviews Stockdale has mentioned the holy trinity of budget, pitch and atmosphere. Is it excuses? Or is it trying to reset expectations for the rest of the season? I'm not sure, but it definitely feels like a slight change of tone in interviews.

Unfortunately this sounds very much like an exercise in getting your excuses in first. Why not turn the the alleged state of the pitch into a positive? “They might not fancy it so it could be a leveller” sort of thing.

Dont expect to see Andrews again this season as for Downing hopefully saturday...
If its the same bug going about and the one we had in our house then expect more players to miss games the next coming few weeks.
My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

I think you might need to watch the interview.
If you don't know why your posts keep getting downvoted, there's no hope for you.

Not sure he mentioned the pitch on the interview I just saw, he did mention Liam Kelly being ill and still not 100% and 2 others also ill so he'll make a call tomorrow, not sure what else he can say really, didn't seem downbeat one bit to me.

Pity about Kelly, Dale's second leading league goalscorer with 4 goals in 24 appearances. Our leading scorer is Newby, with 5 goals in 30 appearances. (Salford's second leading scorer, incidentally, is Matt Lund, 5 goals in 31 appearances.)
So far this season Salford have scored 38 goals and conceded 31; Dale have scored 39 and conceded 45. Both sides have played 34 league matches.
These figures don't suggest a feast of goals, but hope springs eternal ...

And to think fans actually rate and support this Manger.
I would still like to see him with a full preseason to get 'his squad' sorted especially as at the fans' forum it was said that the playing budget will be higher next season.

You don't need a full pre season behide you to produce non negative, boring, dire football. If his team had heart, commitment and a tiny little of entertainment value, that would go a long way for some fans.
You don't need a preseason to know your best 11 especially after 34 games.
I wouldn't trust him with a bigger budget, the football and tactics is on par with Steve Errrrrrrrrrr.

That should help to improve the home crowds no end
I didn't say it would
Seems like a very negative line up regardless of formation. The only positives I can take is that the front 3 (COK Campbell, Ball) are tall and industrious if nothing else I hope they give Salford no time at the back and put the pressure on.
Can't imagine it's going to be pretty or exciting but we'll see. It's a Tuesday and by the looks of it there will be hardly anyone here to witness it.
Fantastic to see the message board getting behind the team I'm assuming the refusenicks know who is fit. Which players are suffering from this bug that is going around.
