Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient 12:00 - Feb 8 with 96120 views | DannyPaddox | Up against Man City in the FFS that was offside FA Cup. I prepare to stand corrected but I think Charlie is still our player but as I take as much interest in modern football players contracts and transfers as I do in mobile phone contracts I could be wrong. Either way seems like a good lad and having a decent season with a club I like so up the O’s! Up against a central defender today in Ruben Dias who’s worth approx £75 mil … would love to see Charlie meg him. [Post edited 8 Feb 12:07]

Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 16:03 - Apr 9 by Watford_Ranger | I’m not saying that was a good decision but how many of us would have kept Kelman in August? Clearly it looks ridiculous now we have no one and he’s banging in 20 but he might have got a handful of sub appearances here and not kicked on. Bringing in one forward, for the little he briefly offered, was the issue. Kelman will lead us to League One glory next season now he knows what he’s doing. |
Definitely think even with hindsight that it was the right decision to loan Charlie this season, despite our striking woes. He may kick on next season, he possibility won't, but he has a better chance to shine than without the loan IMO.... Will he succeed in the Championship - who knows !!!!

I genuinely think he will. As I posted earlier in the thread, I liken this season to the season Les had on loan at Besiktas where he went somewhere and scored goals, left a raw kid and came back a man and a totally different player.

Two things Daniel. I suspect the Turkish first division might have been a better league back then compared to the English third tier now and secondly, Les definitely returned to a better Rangers then what Charlie will be returning to in July. I also refer the honourable member to something I posted earlier: QPR need to decide if we've got a Les returning or we should do a Stoke and cash in on a Mike Sheron.

Well just looked up Mike Sheron's stats at QPR. He wasn't on loan though we paid around £2.75 million if memory serves. But he scored 19 goals in 57 starts and 6 sub appearances. Not that bad tbf.. So that's almost prolific if you look at our leading goalscorers in recent seasons !!!!! Think we would take that, if Charlie achieved that especially as he is our player already, so no fee also !!! Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 16:43 - Apr 11 with 2721 views | FDC | Big sell on from Eze aside, assuming we don't have the money to buy an effective lone striker, I wonder if next season we might experiment with a different 'game model', with Celar and Kelman up front in a two?...
Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 16:47 - Apr 11 with 2699 views | WestonsuperR | Never rated Kelma and had given up on him ever making it at Championship level, however it is impossible to ignore the number of goals he has scored this season in just one division below, must be given a chance next season I wonder what is left on his contract, an O’s season ticket holder told me he had heard it was until the end of 2025?

Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 00:15 - Apr 12 with 2214 views | LazyFan | We complain when they go on loan and don't rip up trees. Well, Kelman and Larkeche have done that somewhat. They should be allowed a run next season and not loaned out. Lloyd should be loaned out. Orient can develop him for us. I don't think he will cut it in the Champ, but Kelman should get his chance in the squad next season; he's earned it the hard way. So, fairs fair.

Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 05:59 - Apr 12 with 2104 views | Hoopsie | Kelman, if he’s not our player, how much would you have offered to a league one club? Say a couple of million pounds as suggested by Gallen in the WLS podcast So rightly, returning from loan after a successful spell Kelman should be given a proper chance next season he rightfully deserved But, if we do sell him, it should be £2 m no less, rightly [Post edited 12 Apr 6:25]

My point being that both players look ill-suited to playing up top on their own, but would likely benefit from having another player alongside them to work opportunities in the box. Edit Kolli also doesn't look a natural lone striker to me. [Post edited 12 Apr 6:17]

Two up top will only happen if Pep decides it should happen. That said, if Marti chose to break the golden rule of obeying Pep and go with two upfront, it'll confuse the bejaysus out of everyone and hay will be made. That's until such time as Pep decides to do the same, whereupon everyone will follow and Pep will be hailed a genius.

Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 07:19 - Apr 12 with 1963 views | WestonsuperR | The fee for Kelman, should we sell, massively depends on how much is left on his contact, some suggestion it isn’t very long.

Just idle thoughts really, but looking at players who are likely to be in the squad next season, maybe 352 would be a better option . For one thing we don't look like having any FBs assuming Paal and Dunne leave. We have a handful of CBs and CMs, two potential wingbacks in Saito and Smyth, and Frey aside (who doesn't look like being able to play home and away across a season) some strikers who look better suited to playing in a two. A key chapter in the Lessons Learned folder this season has been that we need to beef up CM to get anything out of games, so playing with Varane, Field, and Morgan/Colback in the middle looks right to me. Whatever people think of Kelman and Celar, they do have one standout attribute which is that they are currently QPR players [Post edited 12 Apr 8:31]

Agreed The only player we have suited to that role is Frey It’s quite a thankless task that job at this club. We seem to think our striker in that role should be able to hold it up, bring others into the game, run the channels, beat players and score at a ratio of 1 in 2. That player will be at one of the so called super clubs earning 25 nurses annual salary a week. II really do agree with you that finding a solution with players we actually own should be the first step. It’s almost as if whoever has been putting our squads together for the last decade hasn’t got a clue what identity we’re supposed to have.

Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient on 11:08 - Apr 9 by Northernr | It is so QPR that we're going into an important game with Jude the Cat upfront while the top goalscorer in the division below is actually our player. |
To quote Dorse: "It is the way of our people". We simply have to give him a chance next season. If - IF - we are still in the Championship next season, we need to remember that the S & P rules mean it's practically impossible to buy a ready-made, Championship standard striker and still remain compliant. Bring him home
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |
