Yes, that makes sense (though nothing would surprise me at QPR). Charlie signed a 2 year contract extension in January 2024 but in retrospect it probably runs from the expiry of his previous deal (June 2024) rather than from the time of signature. One would hope that the club has also included the usual option of an additional year if desired. [Post edited 9 Apr 0:34]

seems he is scoting goals via a decent supply line from midfield , balls down the chanels that sort of thing . that might be an issue as when was the last time we had anyone who could play that ball to a striker?

As I mentioned on page 5 of this thread Ethan Galbraith looks like he could fill that criteria. He seems to have good vision and can pass forward. 5 goals and 5 assists from central midfield for Leyton Orient this season. I've only watched the 2 videos I posted there so he could actually be terrible but he looks like he could step up to Championship football.

Stating the obvious here but I've watched most of Kelman's goals this season and you can see the level of defending he's up against is definitely lower than the Championship. He usually has more time on the ball than he would get at this level and defenders make fewer mistakes in the Championship than L1.
I'm not saying we shouldn't give him a chance, but the question stands: can he make the step up? |  | | |
