Thank goodness a striker

With what appears on paper to be a half decent signing, feel that comments about other clubs"clout" will be difficult to be used by Big Jim. Lets hope a keeper follows soon or Josh might have to coach himself

At 6' 5" and with 17 in 46 last season, and with the signing of the midfielder that probably contributed to his tally with assists, this is what we were short of last season. We create enough chances for this guy to score in every game with a finally- fit Rodney making runs from his headers, we should be in for an interesting season..

Without spending recklessly and ending up with a Jay Bird-like number 9, this is pretty much the best striker we could have hoped for. Good in the air, contributes goals, won promotion twice out of this division before. Brilliant business from the club. I’m not used to this new era of signing proven players within the division we’re in! Long may it continue. Couple of keepers and extra depth where required (maybe another young loan striker) and we’re good to go.

Couldn’t wish for a better window at this level. Read the Hartlepool response, reckon we are doing ok here.
So there we have it- straight from the horses mouth- how utterly depressing, Fuking Rochdale. Don't know about you chaps but I feel completely embarrassed by this move- and shows how far we've fallen away, that Rochdale can take our best players for nothing. banghead. Just one response. They haven't been following our recent history...we are in Year 2 of a 3 year project with our new, local, billionaire owners, who bought 90% of the club, with little debt, for £2m. Sorry Hartlepool, but we have finally made it, and just watch us go!!! This is just the start of the take-off !!!!!!!!

Is that second paragraph a quote from the bury board?

Totally agree they have no idea. Very positive movements in the transfer market and the foundations of a very strong squad. Lots of positivity around the club and everyone should be buzzing to go again. Have a feeling this could be a great year for the club if we can lock in a solid goalkeeper and a bit of back up firepower. This pre season feels different for some reason. First time I’ve felt the squad on paper are capable of promotion in a long time. Lets hope they gel and we can stay injury free.

Obviously we all want promotion, a play off place has to be a expectancy and then it's in the lap of the gods a bit. The aim is to win the league, until it becomes apparent that can't happen. I think what we can say hand on heart is that we have some very talented footballers in the club for this level and the manager has been backed by the Ogden family. We are going to see some enjoyable football next season and we don't need to feel second best to anybody in this league including York and Carlise. Anybody stalling on purchasing a season ticket needs to give their heads a wobble and commit, its going to be a enjoyable season watching these footballers, regardless of if we gain promotion or not. Keeping Rodney fit is key i think, him and Mani will terrorise any defence at this level

When the fixtures come out I will decide between a season ticket or a fan card and individual games.
