Yep, I'd love to be able to play that match again. And several others thinking about it. Armstrong took a knock just before the Brum goal and was struggling after so had to come off. And as wonderful as Scienza is to watch, he doesn't seem to play 90 often. After the first 25 min's or so, I thought Brum looked a really good side so that is an excellent 3 points. Both sides could have had 2/3 more goals. Cracking match which I really enjoyed. And as someone said above, Bragg may have been a better option than Aribo [Post edited 7 Dec 0:57]

| Birmingham Game Matchday Thread on 09:13 - Dec 7 with 514 views | SalisburySaint | So great to see entertaining football week in week out at the moment, with plenty of chances both ends, reminds me of the Chris Nicholl era. Especially as we are getting the ball forward more quickly and look so dangerous on the counter Certainly helps that most teams in this league are prepared to have a go, and not stifle the game like so many teams do in the Premier league. Long May it continue [Post edited 7 Dec 13:09]

Yep, or like one of those streaky Ralph runs of great great form when Ings was on fire for us. Would love to Eckhart sort out the defence though . We're a top 3 side going forward but a midtable side at the back. None of the defenders or keepers have been consistently good this season . Hopefully an improving Downes and Romeu will help them out.

I think Fellows is a massive part of this. He can pick the ball up in our defensive third of the pitch, and then just run with the ball and take 3 or 4 oppo players out of the game. I’m not sure how he would do in the Prem, but in the Championship he is a real star.

| Birmingham Game Matchday Thread on 21:22 - Dec 6 by Southamptonfan | We need to get back to the PL, where this club belongs definitely. SR have made mistake after mistake, I have been one of their biggest critics. But I have some hope that we might get back there, playing like this. We are blowing teams away. But let's see. Whilst thoroughly deserved win, as you have said, we mustn't get carried away. If their Japanese (?) guy with the blond wig up front hadn't missed that absolute sitter of a header (and not forgetting the thump against the bar that came back to him,) things could have been different Yes we defended well, but with their fans behind them at that stage and us getting nervous you never know what the outcome would have been As has also been said, we queried the substitutions and timing but Tonda will be justified if we beat the Baggies on Tuesday who got stuffed by a team we have recently beaten I'm trying not to be negative (maybe realistic?) and am on that cloud 9 still after the last 18 months or so but I'm thinking with this momentum SR need to realise we now NEED to get up this season (despite thinking differently last night) and if we do make it back FFS they must get a Prem squad together before next August!! If they don't, then settle for mediocrity or quite a while. Watching MOTD and teams up there we don't at the moment | |

The Baggies will definitely know of his threat and will be interesting to see how they play him, as well as Leo and do as others, by trying to kick them out of the game!

| Birmingham Game Matchday Thread on 13:26 - Dec 7 with 118 views | davidargyll | Oh Come on Kingslandstand1. You are just not being realistic. Of course you can argue a glass half empty is the same as a glass half full. And Brum could have scored a few more, but then we could easily have done so too. Luck sticks to some people, and plays an enormous part in footie. Tonda seems to be lucky for the most part; forgetting about their other attributes - or lack of - our last few managers clearly did not. | | | |

I'm nowhere near as bad as another poster on here, maybe I've been following Saints for too long! There is always a caveat to most positive or negative comments but luck as they say always evens itself out over a season, let's just hope we've had our fill of any bad luck we're going to get and absolutely milk to good Again as has been said on here in the last 24 hours, our forward play is up for promotion standard now that we are seeing what our new signings can do, let's just hope the defensive part of the team maintain that luck Tonda is riding on
