I've seen 2 instances so far of press being apprehended.
1 was a Danish film crew, filming on public property, who were stopped from filming and faced threats of having their equipment smashed.
The 2nd was a press photographer who took a photo of the Qatar WC slogan on the wall of the press centre, and was told on more than once occasion to delete the photo and to stop taking photos... in the press centre.

Quickly checking the schedule - if England somehow finished 2nd in the group our 2nd round game would kick off at 3pm on Saturday 3rd December - the same time we play Harrogate at home. |  |

This World Cup is wrong in so many ways.
It should never have gone to what is in reality a non footballing nation. Yes football growth should be supported in genuine cases , like for instance in Africa, but they aren't in a position to spend multiple billions of pounds like Qatar.
It should not go to a place that some members of community, the gay community, would not feel welcome, in fact would be feel threatened in many instances.
It is at completely wrong time of the year. It is too hot, end off to play football, when it should be played, in what are the summer months of the Northern Hemisphere.
The deaths of six thousand migrant workers, most of which their surviving families have received no compensation. Most if not all of these deaths are due to failure of Health and Safety,.
I am sure there maybe other reasons not to hold the World Cup there, but those are the main reasons.
Normally I like millions more would be so excited by the World Cup, but I can barely raise an interest in it. |  |

I don't know about other areas but where I live you'd barely know that the competition was starting soon.
It's probably down to the weather but there's no bunting outside pubs and little or no advertising about TV games being screened live.
The supermarkets are full of drinks but mainly aimed at Christmas shoppers rather than to drink at home whilst the football is on. | | | |
