Match thread again.....April 1st, !!

If we can win tomorrow, we will beat our total points(62) from last season with 7 games still to go, so that's a feather in McNulty's hat. We will also go above Halifax on GD and leave the play-off pesky chasers with something to think about ahead of our massive semi final.

Little things yoy may say but they all add up.

Get at them, no fear.

Expecting a few changes following Sat knocks but going off latest club update - only Waller and East flagged as long term injuries.

Beckwith half time sub with a bit of a hammy is a concern
Holden subbed after an assist of sorts for Hendo’s goal equally a concern
Kingdom and Eels natural swaps for each of those but then a bit thin for the bench in defensive terms.

Berger and Barlow also took knocks late on. Few more options here but East/Berger spot possibly more troublesome to fill.

Hopefully all minor knocks that a couple of days physio will have eased -

The way our form has gone this season is a run of very good performances followed by a run of poor performances so hopefully last Saturday is the re-start of a run of good performances and good results👍.

Not won away in the league this year so we really could do with changing that tomorrow.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

No away win in the league in 2025..

No better time than tonight to change that statistic.

A win tonight will give a boost to the fans. Knowing that whatever the other results on Saturday we will still be in the playoffs will calm some nerves.
Interesting that both sides have semi finals on Saturday. Can’t help wondering if some players will be wary of picking up injuries. But the respective league positions should make for a committed game. Although I would take anything but a loss as a reasonable outcome.
Given the number of changes on Saturday and the knocks I have no idea what the team selection will look like. These are the circumstances when the owners need to get a return on their investment in the squad.
Let’s have it lads.

You’ve got to have some sympathy with the sudden deluge of injuries and we’ve got to hope they’re all knocks as Burger, TAR and Adu-Poku would surely have been on the bench ahead of Edwards and Armstrong if fit.

Proper all hands on deck situation now.

Maybe, you never know - prioritising the cup game. Either way on the way back I hope McNulty gets the driver to go via A3 - A406 - and parks for a while under the Wembley arch….

It really is, but this is what the point of having a large squad is about

For all the post-match interview moaning about budgets, ours has been extended and if those coming into the team aren't ready, it'll have been through lack of foresight

The argument around squad construction over the campaign is one McNulty would do well to justify, but this amount of injuries after one game is something that many would struggle to plan for.

I like Edwards though, so he could make the most of the opportunity. There’s little doubt the games we had called off resulting in playing so often was always going to be a potential issue.

With a couple of choices - Henderson & Hogan possibly but can he start two games a week anyway?
The rest is forced, anyone there on Saturday could see the amount of walking wounded.

Wasn’t there on Sat, the last two games I watched live were Maidenhead and York, before that Boston and Barnet. I am watching live this evening though…..hoping for an Aldershot performance.

You don't honestly believe all those omissions from Saturdays team are because they are injured do you? Obviously the answer to that question will be revealed on Saturday when we see the line up and the subs bench. I reckon both TAR and Berger will be starting.

I think that’s an error on the BBC site. They have us down as having 8 subs (Bird being the error) and Woking seven as per the rules.

“He was deliberately misleading the EFL”

He's not Captain Pugwash anymore! If we can keep Rodney fit and interested he can be a massive asset.

Yes, in the cases of TAR and Burger. Because they’d be on the bench.
