I want England to win. I feel if we played to our strengths then we would have a much better chance, but that is unlikely. I hope Barkley, Chamberlin, Walcott etc all start.

Walcott ain't going Dwight

That's a real shame.

I see myself as a supporter of both Wales and England at international level, and it is a sad state of affairs when the two national managers are Chris Coleman and Roy Hodgson. Where's the encouragement or belief in that?

Belgium are not dark horses at all, bookies have them ahead of Italy, France and Holland.

I know ... but it is mentioned that they are dark horses by many people including posters in this thread.

I am amazed Italy are below them in betting, normally good in Euros WC.

Walcott?
I see you're as sharp & up-to-date as usual.
Do you think Beckham getting the captaincy again will enhance your chances?

I haven't paid much attention to the build up etc. It's tedious. I'm just glad I get to see the country of my birth play in almost every international tournament.

Not many people giving England a chance then?

I have this horrible feeling that they will win it,

And if they do, you'll never hear the end of it: hell they''re still talking about 1966 - isn't that right Mr. Motson?

I can tell you're so "glad" because of your impressive attention to detail regarding who's made your squad and who's been unable to, due to an injury he picked up many months ago.

If by some amazing miracle, you were to win it, I'm confident that you will become aware of the fact by around Christmas time. I fully understand that for some people like your good self, it just takes a lot longer for the penny to drop, compared to the rest of us.

This also now explains the mathematical deficiencies that you have clearly demonstrated in previous threads.

Keep up the good work....you're a constant source of amusement to many on this board.

Quite fancy Brazil, when decent enough countries host the comp they tend to do well. Obviously Spain will always be in with a shout. Quite fancy France to do well too.
