The only issue, as it had been since September, has been the uncertainty around getting games on and some games not going ahead/not finishing. It’s created a feeling of uncertainty off the pitch, and probably for the players too. That we couldn’t immediately look to respond after our last loss when even a game at Accrington was called off, it’s added to that problem.
Before Hartlepool, we’d won five league games in a row (seven in all competitions). |  |

Not a match I relish. Not all our players are match fit, even some who don’t have knocks have had limited match time this month. Gateshead have the prodigal son manager returning and a stack of new players. To balance that the main goal threat has departed. Would love a comfortable win, but will be happy with an ugly win. Just need to get back on track today.

Dieseruvwe injury a real worry now. It's 6 weeks today since the Southend abandoned game where he picked up what looked like an innocuous kick on his heel. An update from Jim would be nice. |  |

Slow start, got better as half wore on.
Good finish for the goal, had good chance to make it 2 not long after as the Gateshead back line went a bit loose after the goal.
