| The Barry Bannan Master Class Match Thread 08:50 - Jan 3 with 29076 views | numptydumpty | I will front up for this one, as feel this is a must win game. Finally, I hope this is one game too far for Mr Bannan against ourselves. But bloomin 'eck, a midday kick off. And for the Sheffield fans to get there. One of these days, we will all have to get to the ground immediately after our full english breakfast. Its hard to get into a game so early in the day and think actually it generally shows similar for all players also. Despite that, I do believe we will win comfortably, three nil, perhaps. But if its a loss, the natives will certainly be getting restless and a happy new year, it won't be. So for me, a three nil win - Burrell with two and Cook with the other !!! Don't want to consider any other possible outcomes !! C'mon you Rrr's.... [Post edited 3 Jan 8:51]

| The Barry Bannan Master Class Match Thread on 09:39 - Jan 3 with 4525 views | MrSheen | According to Wiki, Bannan has missed just 22 games in Wednesday’s last seven seasons, and has played in all 24 of this season’s matches. Hasn’t he heard of three-game weeks? | | | |
| The Barry Bannan Master Class Match Thread on 09:51 - Jan 3 with 4473 views | stevec | All the makings of a reenactment of the Rotherham/Bolton bottom two consecutive 1-2 home defeats in 18/19. If this lot have sussed us and get a result then we’re really in for a troublesome round 2 of the season. | | | |

It'll be interesting to see what names the Tinkerman pulls out of the hat.

| The Barry Bannan Master Class Match Thread on 10:35 - Jan 3 with 4305 views | Hunterhoop | The only thing I’d definitely do tomorrow, and I think it’s more important than any formation or other selection, is have Sam Field man mark Barry Bannan all game. Literally stand on his toes for 90 mins. If Bannan is stopped, Wednesday will lose. Everything else tactically is of secondary importance. Field gets about the pitch, can tackle and is bigger than Bannan. Have him do that job, and make it a 10v10 game. We’ll win then. I suggested this to someone at the club before the away game and was laughed at, as Bannan was some kind of geriatric footballer who holds no influence. Odd. | | | |

100% agree. We've tried this before, but only in a half-assed way - man-mark him if he comes up the pitch, but leave him off if he drops deep. The only problem is that he drops into that pocket at left-back and can hit, and does hit, long-range balls that launch attacks. He has to be followed everywhere.

I am still undecided on whether I can be asked to deal with a rail replacement service to get to a midday kick off to watch another dismal home performance against Sheffield Wednesday and Barry Bannan.. Maybe the way to handle playing against Bannan will be to man mark him out of the game. The less touches he gets on the ball the better chance QPR have to win this game.

Fck.....you've used your out loud voice. I wish you hadn't! I also wish Spaceman_P was back doing Freds. His calm and assured guidance has lifted us out of many a quagmire of our own making, much less that which the oppo might seek to add to our misery. Luckily, Mrs PH and I are meeting a friend, so I will be unable to watch. However, I shall sneak a peak between courses and by golly, I will be expecting something uplifting. Good luck Rs!

They have a lot of injuries - I think one of the turnstile attendants is in goal for them tomorrow. Only a 1-1 I fear. Bloody noon kickoff - I'll have to get up about half past Fido in the early mortgage.

I'd also consider having Hayden do the same. When we stood off André, the friendly ghost at Pompey, he sprayed the ball around like Tom Brady on any given Sunday. Get in his face, hit him hard, early, and consistently and we'll win well.

The Reading Waterloo line is another 25 minutes extra but diverted to weird and wonderful locations. Will be there, because at times i live up to my username, but the rail app says delays, diversions and rail replacement services affected and in use far and wide !!
