The away end is at the opposite end of the ground now. Hopefully it won't detract from the view!

Able to be rational and not over-react to individual results? Yes. |

Wishful thinking perhaps. There’s a start for ZSD though instead of Francis.

| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:39 - Oct 31 with 2617 views | Cedar_Room | Wilson could and should have got closer to the Vale man for the goal. Just seemed to watch him control it and take a shot rather than try to close him down or god forbid get a foot in. We’re never good coming from behind so this could be a tough day. | | | |
| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:42 - Oct 31 with 2544 views | Cedar_Room | And now it’s 2-0 after Flint conceded a penalty. Jesus wept. | | | |

| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:45 - Oct 31 with 2381 views | 442Dale | We are second to everything and the defending has been as poor as you’ll see at any level. Overrun in midfield playing a 4-4-2. If you’re going to go with that, at least start Henderson. | |

Looks like we’ve gone to a back three.

| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:54 - Oct 31 with 2176 views | DaleFan7 | Any chance of a defender that will go to the ball and a competent keeper at any point this season. | | | |
| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:54 - Oct 31 with 2128 views | 442Dale | The lack of running is inexcusable. Hayes has been moved centrally and he watched his man run off him before the shot that led to the third. | |

| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:54 - Oct 31 with 2126 views | Cedar_Room | 3-0. Can’t see any way back from here, the only question will be if it turns into a truly embarrassing result. | | | |
| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:55 - Oct 31 with 2068 views | wroughtironron | maybe the team should leave the pitch and get back on the coach home - if not, it could be an avalanche | | | |

| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 12:59 - Oct 31 with 1965 views | SJE_Dale | This is about as embarrassing as it gets. A couple of half decent results doesn't take away the fact we are the leagues whipping boys. No control anywhere and can't even pass the ball straight. This team wouldn't compete in the National League | | | |
| Refwatch - Port Vale v Rochdale on 13:02 - Oct 31 with 1875 views | Bazzanne | This is absolute rubbish. We spend more time playing backwards to the goalkeeper than going forward. If this is Ian Watsons style of play it's time for him to go. Yes we have injuries but that's not the only contributing factor. We are second to the ball and too slow. | | | |

Sadly, and on the back of the board's own recruitment process being called into question, i now have to agree How do the board proceed if confidence in their own process is shattered though?

The lack of control, win, lose or draw, has always been an issue. It’s possible to see what Watson was trying to achieve, unfortunately it doesn’t get results in the same way controlling games does. At least with the players we had when he joined and maybe even with those who have joined since. Controlling the ball and reducing the distance between players is what made us so good defensively. This is the trade off.

Would be nice if they had turned up on the pitch to begin with.

There are plenty of teams that can be effective going forward without conceding a flood of goals every week.
