| FIFA World Cup thread. 12:02 - Nov 15 with 165870 views | Snipper | I’m trying to get excited about this World Cup, but to no avail :-((. I’ve just watched Sky Sports World Cup preview with Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher & Karen Carney. Utterly depressing viewing. Same old, same old. Picking players for the starting XI not playing for their clubs, or totally off form. I’m hoping this thread can get the juices flowing. Do any of you think England have a chance? | | | | |

| FIFA World Cup thread. on 21:25 - Dec 1 by daveB | I think the ball is just in play, very close though, the angle from above is the one which makes it look just in Hilarious though after Souness had his dig at England being nowhere near as good as Spain and him and Neville wanting to give them the trophy at half time to see Spain get beat and do nothing second half. Been a really good tournament so far |
Souness was desperate to pedal some conspiracy nonsense, the bloke should be on Talk Sport not ITV. Still could have been worse, they could have used Joe Cole who can barely string 2 words together. [Post edited 1 Dec 2022 22:07]

Normally I'd agree on Joe Cole but was quite impressed with him the other day when they had another love in for Wales report about how much they love their country etc and he went into one saying England players and fans feel the same and he loved playing against Wales and beating them. He was back to talking jibberish soon after

Opinions eh. I’ve enjoyed Joe Cole’s input, but then again look at the standard of pish I post on here 😆

Whoa, don't get ahead of yourself mate! Just look at last night's results, nothing is certain in this World Cup. Senegal are a powerful, pacy side who could really test England and Morocco topped their group, looking slick and skillful, and, on last night's showing, more than a match for Spain.

And another, bah. To be fair Ghana have not looked great so far, summed up by the penalty miss.

That makes two of us. Suarez is right about not apologising. He was sent off / punished and Ghana failed to take their opportunity from the penalty spot before falling apart during the penalty shootout.
